Karma Sādhanā
In Geeta Parivar classes we come across several learners who after learning the first few Adhyaays very well start understanding the importance of Geeta in life. But they start developing a feeling that Ohh! I am very late in coming to this spiritual path of Geeta. Many of them are in middle age or in the advanced age and they start doubting as to how they will learn all 18 Adhyaays and when they can really start following the principles of Geeta in the remaining part of the life. Will their efforts remain incomplete? Will it be a futile exercise as they probably cannot attain the ultimate objective of liberation or salvation? Parmatma has disposed off these doubts in Adhyaay 6, Shloka No. 40:
पार्थ नैवेह नामुत्र विनाशस्तस्य विद्यते।
न हि कल्याणकृत्कश्चिद्दुर्गतिं तात गच्छति॥६-४०॥
One who is engaged in auspicious, pious activities never suffers a downfall even in future lives as nothing goes waste. Death does destroy our auspicious activities. We don’t have to restart our journey from the beginning on this noble spiritual path. We start from where we had left. It is like the balance amount of our saving account getting carried forward. Every year we don’t to open a new account. The process of carry forward is an automatic process. Similarly our auspicious, pious, Satvik activities and our spiritual study gets carried forward and nothing goes waste in this life or in future lives.
The conclusion is: Remove the doubt that we have to become master and champion of spirituality in this life itself else we will be left nowhere. We have to keep doing our best and it will remain with us forever whether in this life or in future lives.
