Aug22 L3 Opening Ceremony indeed had special blessings; for it was hosted live from the banks of the Holy River Ganga at Rishikesh. What an auspicious beginning it was!! The crystal clear flow of the river, the sacred sentiments for Ganga maa, the legacy of many a great saints, Rishis, Gurus attaining enlightment in the holy land and the presence of our most revered Swami Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj made the occasion more divine.
Respected Shriniwas ji Warnekar a dear student of our Param Pujya Swamiji, well versed in Geeta and Dnyaneshwari, one of Geeta Pariwar's Core members, set the tone for the proceedings of the ceremony. He shared his journey of 36 years long association with Swamiji from the inception of Geeta Pariwar at Sangamner. He virtually picturised, for us, as to how it gathered momentum by establishing centers at various places and how the pandemic gave opportunity to add a new segment, LEARNGEETA ONLINE, which made Geeta Pariwar go Global. He concluded by welcoming the participants and emphasizing that Geeta Pariwar will continue to grow and move ahead on the Motto of "GHAR GHAR GEETA, HAR KAR GEETA"
Dr. Ashu ji Goyal, welcomed the participants and said we are all very lucky to be a part of this wonderful programme which was special, as it is being telecasted from the banks of Ganga mata, which will positively impact everyone.
He shared how in 2020, Swamiji maharaj motivated them to turn the invasion of Corona all across the Globe into an opportunity to reach out far and wide via technology which these days was used for all wrong reasons most of the times. Swamiji encouraged them to make use of the technology positively to make the Vision of Ghar Ghar Geeta into a reality through the digital platform.
He explained how the divine had greater plans for his beloved swamiji's team of Geeta Parivar for when they were ready to go online in a moderate way with a figure of upto 500 participants in mind, but had a challenging surprise when they got a response from 2000+ participants in less than 24 hours. The team had to stop accepting forms to face the giant wave of sickers from the length and breadth of not chest the nation but beyond.
Geeta Pariwar and its team rose to the occasion. It was like becoming an adult overnight to shoulder the gigantic task now that the floodgates had opened for mass
registration. Suvarna Kaki ji, enthusiastically, began training Gitasevis to teach the participants, simplest ways to learn Geeta. Also framing techniques to teach the participants who never learned or couldn't even read Sanskrit. Contents were printed, books distributed, audios were recorded, videos, pictures, widgets etc. all these wonderful preparations were done in very quick succession and our happiness knew no bounds as the first batch of 2000 in the first month became 4500; then it went on 5000, 7000, 11k, 13k , 15, 25, 30k, as on 22nd August new students.
He warmly welcomed the 8000 sadhaks who progressed to L3, and would be learning next 6 chapters. The participants were not just from India but from about 130 countries connected with Geeta pariwar for enriching their spiritual journey.
He gave an insight into the day to day functioning of Geeta Pariwar. He said, it is difficult to introspect how Geeta pariwar's activity increases manifold every day. He mentioned currently the classes are conducted in 12 Languages; Hindi, English, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Oriya, Assamese and Nepali right from 5am till 10 pm, & for international time zone it goes on till 12 am, 2 am.
This amazing rich legacy is being carried on by Geeta Pariwar with the blessings and guidance from Param Pujya Swamiji who graced the ceremony to bless the participants.
Swamiji began his address by restating how blessed he feels at the fortune to share his sentiments from the banks of the sacred river Ganga. He remembered and thanked all those giants who laid the foundation for this spiritual journey decades ago and today their efforts are paying rich dividends in the manifold growth of Geeta Pariwar. He referred to Ashuji's request of blessing the participants and said he in fact is happy to congratulate them on their progress to L3.
By touching on the detailed talk of Geeta Pariwar's day to day functioning by Ashuji; he added, all the activities & work done till now was for the purpose of creating awareness and reaching out to people. After the manifestation of the Programme, such a response of people connecting in large numbers from across the globe was never planned or imagined till then.
He gave a beautiful analogy here; Geeta Pariwars's condition was no different from Arjun's on seeing the Cosmic form of the Divine (Vishwaroop). Having said that, the program going on since day one without any hiccups is nothing short of a miracle in layman's language. He said, this indeed is the Divine intervention of the Supreme who steered the reins of Geeta Pariwar and showered HIS grace which is but the Cosmic form. He further added, this was beyond comprehension of any being for; a gigantic
task of going global in such a short span of time, in multiple languages, multiple time slots is not a mean task but had to be HIS grace along with Sant Krupa, that is being witnessed by Geeta Pariwar.
He said all this work is done by the people who were never known nor was there a possibility to be known but Geeta mata connected us. In reality Bhagvadgeeta is the connecting FORCE of Sampoorna Bharat.
He said, Geeta's Sanskrit-Centric Chanting is done in each state of our nation; but what is being done here is not only within the country but across the world, for the well being and progress of Mankind. Geeta is a divine powerful wave where every religion, mahapurush, any caste, creed, religion, ashram, country, young old, rich, poor, educated, illiterate, small, old, backward, Materialistic, or Sanyasi, is respected. He added further, to improve mankind, the power, potent, the strength, the valour, is found and taken from Geeta.
He further said, The Divine is indeed benevolent in giving us the invaluable treasure in the form of the sacred Geeta making Arjuna a facilitator to enrich our lives by imbibing Geeta in our lives. The Divine's benevolence did not end here; he infact gave an assurance of one becoming his fondest devotee by learning Geeta and added, chanting the shlokas daily is in reality performing gyana yagya and would derive benefits in the form of good deeds.
He further said, one who set on to the path of acquiring the Knowledge from Geeta, and also becoming a messenger and instrumental in community building by reaching out to one and all is the most favourite devotee of HIS, The Divine's love for him would remain unparalleled forever. What more does one desire? Our duty is to become HIS loved one and doing so everything is achieved and there remains nothing to yearn for anymore.
Swamiji further added how the desire to become Bhagavan's loved one has increased the fortunes of Geeta Parivar through the steadfast belief of the Karyakartas in The Divine's spoken words….The Geeta.
In reality it is the Lord's compassion. In accordance with this; Dnyaneshwar maharaj ji said, when one introduces Geeta to someone or teaches Geeta, it is similar to a lost child in fair who is crying and is desperately searching for but unable to find and both the mother and child are in despair. Suddenly a good hearted person who reunites the child and mother, the joy that the kid and the mother experiences is incomparable and likens to the Geeta mata that is wanting to reach out to her children who are crying, wailing, drowned in sorrow, bounded by attachment, as was Arjuna's condition and unaware of the way to come out of it.
All those karyakartas, Who introduce Geeta to such people in despair through any medium, attain good deed as much of returning lost child to the mother. While on this path, various people help in different ways like few become core trainers, few are in technical assistance, few do arrangements, few donate money,Different types of tasks are carried out by different people but all attain the same fruits, as that of the Geeta Pracharak.
He shared what Dnyaneshwar maharaj ji said that in big houses, while preparing food, their is often discrimination in preparing food for VIP, VVIP, subordinates etc. Geeta mata, however, searves equally to technicians, callers, etc. and everyone gets the same fruits as much as the Geeta educators do.
He said that it amazes him and makes him ponder to see how this Anushthan (commencement activities proceedings celebratios) is functioning so smoothly.
He said, He said this divine auspicious and invaluable activity is now in reach to all of us. We all are indeed blessed to be a part of this prosperous journey.
He restated the importance of Reading Geeta & getting it into our lives. He also emphasised the need to make more and more people read Geeta and make it a part of their life.
He concluded his talk with a Prayer to Ganga mata asking her; O' mother, you are full of compassion, please give us strength & intellect to continue on this path, to read, make others read, and to make Geeta a part of our lives as we know & believe this is the key to a successful life.
