The inaugural ceremony of the 19th batch of L1 under the LearnGeeta mission took place with the blessings of our most revered Swami Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj and Haribrahmanand Tirtha ji Maharaj of Uttarkashi Shankaracharya Math. After the traditional lighting of lamp and introductory speech; Swami Govind Dev Giri ji Maharaj was called upon to bless the new sadhaks by sharing some of his pearls of wisdom.

Swamiji said, indeed how blessed we all are to have such well-versed, dedicated to the cause of safeguarding our sacred scriptures, Haribrahmanand Tirtha Maharaj who willingly agreed to be a part of the Learngeeta program that has taken up this task for us to connect with our true and enriched shastras by learning Geeta.

Swamiji in his speech praised the selfless efforts put in by the 5000 odd sevis on a daily basis with precision and commitment almost round the clock to accomplish the vision of “Har Ghar Geeta, Har Kar Geeta”. He applauded their efforts by saying all these sevis indeed have surrendered to Geeta by making it their way of life.

He emphasized the need of learning Geeta by one and all. He dwelled on the benefits of reciting, memorizing and imbibing Geeta; how it enhances one's personality, brings about a positive change in attitude and also how it adds new dimensions to our perceptions. He further added, after initial recitation and memorization how the sadhaks could gain in-depth understanding of Geeta through the weekend interpretations by the highly knowledgeable and well versed interpreters, which fulfills the third step of the motto Imbibing Geeta and making it their way of life.

He said, we all worship the idol of Krishna, but this is a higher form of worshipping Krishna residing in our hearts by learning and imbibing Geeta. He emphasized the need to learn the recitation of Geeta in its original form; for they are the spoken words of the Divine Himself and in fact they are not just verses but are mantras that carry significant value in enhancing one's life if pronounced perfectly and with steadfast devotion.

He asked Haribrahmanand Tirtha Maharaj to share his sentiments on learning Geeta by one and all.

Haribrahmanand Tirtha Maharaj ji expressed his awe at the vision of LearnGeeta by our Swamiji turning into a reality on such a gigantic scale reaching far and wide not just nationally but globally too. He further stated that, almost 5 lakh sadhaks engaged in

learngeeta program till date is a near impossible task, yet, accomplished successfully in such a short and trying times. He said, spreading the glory of Geeta by making it a way of life across the length and breadth of the globe is an unbelievable achievement.

He showered his blessings on the sadhaks, sevis and the entire Geeta Pariwar also adding that, the blessings of all the Saints, holy people and above all The Divine is with them.

He then quoted from the Bhaja Govindam, of Saint Adi Shankaracharya, which emphasises that everyone should take a dip in the vast Ocean of Geeta; which would enrich one's life.

He said, upholding of our Great Scriptures is not happening the way it should be as, change is inevitable and one has to take it in stride; yet, he could see the beginning of new dawn, where our scriptures, our culture, will regain their rightful place, thanks to the Vision of our Swamiji that turned into a mission of bringing back the misplaced glory through the seeds sown by LearnGeeta program.
